This year's theme is Friendship - with Jesus and Each Other. Our speaker is Tricia Marnham.

We warmly invite you to join us for another Women's Day of Encouragement at St Mellitus College.   We are delighted that our speaker this year is Tricia Marnham, who will be giving two talks on the theme of Friendship - with Jesus and with each other.

We will be looking at how to maintain friendships; how to be a good friend; and how to cope with the loss of friends through distance or death. And we will major on the greatest friendship of all – that with Jesus. How to be more aware of just how much he loves us; how he longs for greater intimacy with us and how he can help us achieve that.

In 2020, Tricia and her husband Charles moved to Oxford after 24 years in London where she worked alongside him at St Michael’s Chester Square. There she led the women’s work and family life courses. They speak of being ‘redeployed not retired’ and are loving this stage of life with all its different opportunities. Tricia and Charles have been married for 44 years and have two married daughters and five grandchildren.

The day will also include time for worship, prayer and lunch.   We do hope you will join us. If you know someone who you feel would benefit from the day, please invite them.  We want to provide a relaxed, loving and safe space to meet old friends and make new ones.

We will serve coffee from 10.30 am with the main programme running from 11 am until 3 pm to enable some of those travelling by train to buy a cheaper ticket and avoid overcrowded trains.

Please remember to let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements as we won’t be able to accommodate requests on the day.
